I love this canvas. It is by a new artist named Kelly Rae Roberts. It really got me thinking . . . and then I ran across a quote the other day that said, “Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself”. It totally touched me. As an artist, I LOVE to create things. I love how it can apply to our lives. We come here as a blank slate. It is up to us to use the skills and talents we have to make the most of our lives . . . or as I look at it now “create” the most of our lives. If you spend the rest of your life trying to “find” yourself . . . you will live an empty life. You can’t find something that isn’t there. It is up to us to create our lives and mold it through pursuing our dreams and strengthening our weaknesses. My favorite part of crafting is creating something out of nothing or finding something that looks like trash to other people but to me I see a purpose and use my skills to make it beautiful. I want to start applying this to my own life and my own weaknesses and doing my best to make them strengths.
Life isn’t About Finding yourself, It’s About Creating yourself . . .

I LOVE this canvas. I think I may aspire to make something similar for my daughter. She is in her first year of college and it is so challenging to want to continue “guiding” her and let her go at the same time. Kids these days seem to think being “sarcastic” is just great and I think a sweet project like this is a good reminder to come back to the positives and focus on the important things in life along the way! Thanks so much for your inspiration. I truly love your style!
