I LOVE books. I love everything about them. I love old books, new books, funny books, and sad books. My favorite place in the world is a book store (new or used). For this project I decided to focus on recycling some old books that I had and creating some fun home decor.

I love the bookshelf idea….
Kristine, I love all of your projects with the old books! I have made a book purse and loved doing it. I think I will try the Valentine’s Day garland for my grandaughter’s class. And the book vase is adorable! Thanks for the inspiration!
Cheryl
wow! I like all of these, I think the neatest one is the vase! That is so cool! I love old books, and old hymnals!

What great ideas! I want to try them all.
Can I just say that all of these make my little heart HAPPAY!!!!!! Thanks!
Great projects! My 27 year old daughter is a voracious reader – after keeping track, she realized she read over 100 books in 2009! Because of her love of books these projects would be so fun for her – maybe we can work on them together. Thanks for the ideas!
Loved seeing your great ideas on Studio 5. Im new to Utah and your website.Cant wait to try the Book Purse and the topiary. Thanks
Cheryl
What a sweet lot of crafts! I’m loving the cones and the garland right now – for obvious reasons I guess! I was looking for various ideas for different holidays and stopped by to read my emails. Lo and behold, there was yours, right there!
Keep up the good work with the great ideas!
I love the Valentine’s banner…and those ornaments are great!!!! Thanks for all the ideas!
Fun! Thanks for sharing;}
Loved you on Studio5 too!
So it looks like you just left the book pages as rectangles on the wreath; is that correct?
I just “found” you through your post on UCreate. I LOVE these ideas
I know what I am doing this weekend
Where can we find the iron brackets?
I purchased them at a store in Utah called Rod Works. I think you should be able to find them at any home decor store.
Have you been to Anthropologie lately? The one near me has a GIGANTIC Ostrich and the entire back of it (body and tail feathers) is done using old book’s….I thought of your projects when I saw it
) I think they’re copying you
