Finding Inspiration at the Office Supply and Hardware store

I LOVE looking outside of the box.  So, while I love the craft or scrapbook store . . . I really get my creative juices flowing in odd places such as the hardware store or the office supply store.  Here are just a few things I’ve found along the way.

This is probably my favorite find EVER! It was a $.075 tool apron that I found at Home Depot.  I turned it into a craft apron, with a little bit of stitching and fabric glue.  I’ll admit, I’m not much of a sewer, although I wish I were.  The fabric I used is by Moda.  I glued as much as I could and then stitched down the middle.  I hand cut out the flower and hand stitched around it. I LOVE the office supply store.  I love making my own scrapbooking supplies so that I can customize them.  Here are a few of my favorite products that I love to use.

Create your own clear stickers by simply printing out images off of your computer onto Avery’s Clear full sheet labels.  This is probably my FAVORITE tip that I use quite often.  To print the phrases shown simply click on the photo.

To create fabric labels you can purchase printable fabric sheets from Avery at most office supply stores.  Try it out for yourself  for a fun customized look on your page.  Simply click on the photo to download the images shown.

Transparent overlays are HOT!  To create your own try using tranparency sheets (typically used for overhead projectors).  Simply click on the photo to download these custom photo overlays.  Try making your own.
