More Ribbon Storage Ideas

Ribbon organization can be very frustrating. I have come up with several solutions in the past and I had such an overwhelming response that I decided to come up with at few more. If you have any great ideas that you’d like to share please email me Kristine@kmckaydesigns.com

I took an old shelf that I was getting ready to throw out (It was from our college days and at best cost $30 brand-new). First, I removed the middle shelf. Then I primed it and then painted it black. I pried the back off and decopauged several sheets of scrapbook paper to the back, then stapled it back on the shelf. I purchased three small curtain spring-rods and after placing the desired spools of ribbon on each rod, I twisted them into place inside of the shelf.

I LOVE being able to see my scrapbook supplies and this goes especially for my ribbon. I LOVE glass jars. These are some old Large canning jars that I had. I primed and spray painted the lids and used the Crop-o-dile Eyelet setter to punch and set eyelets to create holes for the ribbon to thread through.

This is probably one of the quickest and easiest ribbon storage solutions. Punch holes and set eyelest in the front of a photo storage box with the Crop-o-dile eyelet setter. Simply thread the ribbon through each eyelet.  An easy alternative is to use an old shoe box.  Simply decorate with patterned paper and set eyelets as described above.

Isn’t that how it always works lol. I can hang on to junk forever and never even think of it . . . until I throw it out. : )

I love seeing all of your ideas. You are so talented! Where did you find your spring loaded rods? Do you have the reg Crop-o-dile, or the Big Bite? If you’ve tried both, which is your fav? Oh, and the for the millionth question…Do the ribbons ever get tangled in the box or jars, or do you leave them on the spools?

    Thanks!
