Check back on August 7th for complete post.
Yep, It’s that time of year . . . Back to School, and back to school means . . . school clothes shopping uuhhg! Here are some fun ways to update those dreaded hand-me-downs and fix up those clearance finds. Check back on August 7th for more pics and videos.

The first product I want to talk about is the new Yudu screen printing machine from Provo Craft. First off, let me just say I LOVE the concept and the applications are unlimited. However, some of the complaints have been first, the cost. It is pricey, but it has already come down from around $400 to as low as $200. The supplies are a little pricey as well. However, they last a long time. So, I don’t see that as a problem. The question you have to ask yourself is how will you be using the machine. If you plan on using it a lot then the cost is worth it. Like I said, the applications are unlimited from clothing to home decor’. If you just want to make a couple of T-shirts then you aren’t going to get your monies worth. My second complaint about the machine is that I don’t think that lining things up are very easy. In full disclosure that may just be me. I was trying to fit as many designs as possible onto the screen so when it came to actually printing it was a little difficult. If you were just using one design then lining it up would be much easier. Over all I am happy with my purchase. For full directions you can visit http://www.whatdoyudu.com/. My best advice is to follow the directions perfectly. It gets easier the more you practice. Last but not least, the biggest complaint that I’ve heard is people wondering where to get designs. Honestly, if you have print shop you can pull designs from just about anywhere. From on-line, scanning, or drawing your own. Be sure to always follow copy-right laws. To solve this problem I’ve included a couple designs for you to get started. Simply right click to save image. You can then open it in any editing program and resize it to the desired size

Just wondering where the instructions are for that cute jean skirt you showed on Studio 5 yesterday?
I use to do screan printing when I was in high school. It was work, but so much fun. I know my son and I would have so much fun doing this. I think I am going to wait and see if the price goes down more.
You said on Studio 5 that the directions for making that jean skirt would be online. Where can I find them? Thanks for all of your fun ideas!
Yes! We ran out of time on Studio 5 so I had to re-do the instructions. It is really easy and takes less than 10 min. I am posting the instructions this weekend. Check back on Monday! : )
It is really fun . . . I just wish I was better at lining things up
